The owner of a newly opened co-working space for Sioux Falls start-ups and entrepreneurs has made the decision to close her business, according to a heartfelt post Monday on social media.
When Jen Kolb opened The Kitchen in southern Sioux Fall it was an act of independence and a way to make a new space for creators while also empowering women professionals in the community.
But The Kitchen is closing its doors after facing complications created by the coronavirus pandemic, according to Kolb’s Monday morning Facebook post.
“We were only able to be open for a month and a half before having to close down because of Covid,” Kolb said in her post. “But the magic that was created between these walls in that short amount of time was limitless.”
Kolb also wrote that the need for work space in Sioux Falls isn’t going away and that people should stay tuned for what’s to come.
“Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for your unending support,” Kolb said in her post. “Love always, Jen.”
